Privacy Policy
What personal information Varietly collects, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect
When you join the price-alert waitlist, we collect your email address, the providers you choose to track, your selected price-change threshold, and the date and time of your request. Our hosting and security providers may also process standard technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device information, and request logs, to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the site. Provider, plan, and pricing records are business information gathered from public sources and are not user personal data.
Why we use it
We use waitlist information to maintain your request and, if we launch price-alert delivery, to send the price alerts you requested. Joining the waitlist does not subscribe you to unrelated marketing email. We process this information with your consent and as needed to operate the requested feature.
How long we keep it
We retain an active waitlist or alert subscription while you want the feature. You may ask us to delete it at any time. We will delete or anonymize the request within 30 days unless a longer period is needed for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or backup purposes.
Who we share it with
We use Vercel to host the site and Supabase to store waitlist requests and related application data. We may disclose information to service providers that process it for us under contractual confidentiality and security obligations, or where required by law. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Your rights
You may ask to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to limit certain processing, withdraw consent, or appeal a privacy decision. To make a request, email info@varietly.com from the address connected to your request. We may ask for information needed to verify the request and will respond within the period required by applicable law.
Cookies and tracking
Varietly does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, third-party advertising scripts, or tracking pixels. The staff-only admin area uses a session cookie required for authorized reviewers to sign in. If we introduce analytics, advertising technology, or similar tracking, we will update this policy and obtain consent where required.
Children
The service is for adults age 18 or older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at info@varietly.com and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and update its effective date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice where required. Prior versions remain available in our version-control history.
